Pottery — Pune

Objects of quiet.

A small studio making slow, considered pieces from stoneware. Each one thrown, trimmed, and glazed by hand.

From the studio.

Element Works is a one-person studio in Pune. Each piece is thrown, trimmed, and glazed by Tripti — never in a hurry, never quite the same twice.

  • One

    Throw the body.

A wedge of clay becomes a cylinder, then a shape — decided at the wheel, in the moment.

  • Two

    Trim and rest.

The piece dries under plastic for a day, returns to the wheel upside-down, and the foot is cut.

  • Three

    Glaze and fire.

A bisque firing, then glaze brushed or dipped, then a second firing brings the surface to life.

Studio notes will appear here a few times a year — kiln results, batch announcements, the occasional photograph.
